Openbaar onderzoek gaat van start op 7 maart 2026

De omgevingsvergunningsaanvraag is volledig en ontvankelijk verklaard. Het openbaar onderzoek voor dit windturbineproject gaat van start op 7 maart 2026 en loopt tot en met 5 april 2026. Tijdens deze periode, die 30 dagen duurt, hebben omwonenden de kans om zich uit te spreken over dit project. Het hele dossier is raadpleegbaar via het Omgevingsloket of op het stadhuis van Landen en het gemeentehuis van Gingelom.

In het kader van de MER-procedure wordt tijdens het openbaar onderzoek op donderdagavond 12 maart 2026 om 20u een online informatiemoment (webinar) georganiseerd. Tijdens dit webinar zal toelichting gegeven worden over het project en de MER-procedure. Het webinar is online te volgen via onderstaande link.

Information session on 10 February 2026

On Tuesday 10 February 2026, ENGIE will organise an information session about the project in the Hoeve Goyens Hall (Raatshovenstraat 87, 3400 Landen). You are welcome to drop by with any questions between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Residents living near the project (within a radius of approximately 2.5 km) will receive an invitation in their mailbox in the coming days.

In March 2021, the project was withdrawn. ENGIE is currently carrying out the necessary studies to submit a new permit application.

Borealis Transforms Company Parking Lots into Solar Farms in Collaboration with ENGIE

Vienna, Austria / Beringen and Kallo, Belgium – Starting this month, Borealis deploys solar canopies with a total capacity of 3.3 MWp on the parking lots of its Belgian manufacturing sites in Kallo and Beringen. Equipped with nearly 4,800 bifacial solar panels, the canopies are expected to generate 3,250 MWh of renewable energy per year, saving 550 tons of CO2 emissions per year. The solar canopies were installed by ENGIE Sun4Business, the subsidiary of energy utility ENGIE that offers solar power as a service to businesses in Belgium and the Netherlands.
