The Belgian State and ENGIE Group have agreed to extend the target date for concluding the Heads of Terms until 4 november 2026
The Belgian State, ENGIE S.A. and Electrabel NV/SA have agreed to extend the target date for concluding the Heads of Terms (“HoT”), as envisaged in the Letter of Intent of 29 April 2026, until 4 November 2026, in connection with the potential acquisition of the nuclear activities by the Belgian State.

ENGIE has started construction of a new large-scale battery park in Coo, Belgium
Following Vilvoorde, Kallo and Drogenbos, ENGIE is continuing the rollout of its large-scale BESS projects in Belgium. The future battery park at Coo will have an output of 74 MW and a storage capacity of 296 MWh, to store electricity when renewable generation is abundant and feed it back into the grid when demand is higher, delivering power at full capacity for up to four hours.

Working for an energy company without a technical background. Or taking on an engineering role while you are not yet fully fluent in the site’s working language. Monique, Anastasia and Marie each still had some questions when they applied at ENGIE. Nevertheless, they decided to take the leap: a decision that is now paying off.
