ENGIE beloont flexibiliteit van zijn klanten en introduceert nieuw energiecontract met super-daluren
Naast het ontwikkelen van flexibele energiecapaciteit zoals batterijparken, stimuleert ENGIE ook zijn klanten om energie flexibel te verbruiken. De nieuwe formule Empower Flextime die op 1 juni wordt gelanceerd, is bedoeld voor klanten met een digitale meter, die een groot deel van hun verbruik kunnen verschuiven naar specifieke momenten van de dag wanneer er doorgaans een lager verbruik is. Tijdens deze vaste ‘super-daluren’ kunnen klanten genieten van erg lage energieprijzen. Aanvullend op de nieuwe tariefformule test ENGIE ook ‘Happy Hours’ uit, waarbij elektriciteit op bepaalde momenten gratis is voor de gebruikers.

Bouwwerken gestart voor nieuw batterijpark van ENGIE in Kallo
Minister van Energie Mathieu Bihet, burgemeester van Beveren Marc Van de Vijver en CEO van ENGIE Belgium Vincent Verbeke hebben de eerste spadesteek gegeven voor de bouw van het nieuwe batterijpark van ENGIE in Kallo. Vanaf het voorjaar van 2027 zullen de batterijen elektriciteit kunnen opslaan en nadien volgens de noden van het net weer afgeven. Deze vorm van flexibiliteit, een van de strategische prioriteiten van ENGIE, zorgt voor de stabiliteit van het elektriciteitssysteem en ondersteunt de integratie van hernieuwbare energie.

ENGIE commissions first half of the Vilvoorde battery park
ENGIE has officially started commercial operation of the first 100 MW/400 MWh of its battery park in Vilvoorde. Once the second half is completed by the end of the year, the entire 200 MW/800 MWh installation will be one of the largest battery energy storage systems (‘BESS’) in Europe. This landmark project enhances the integration of renewable energy sources into Belgium's energy system, and reinforces its resilience.
