Through an active training program we want to prepare our organization for tomorrow.

Working at ENGIE means helping to build a carbon-neutral future, to the livability of our planet. Through an active training and talent management program, we want to prepare our current organization for tomorrow. But we are also looking for many new employees: attracting suitable profiles to help green our production facilities is crucial. In addition, we are continuously recruiting technically skilled employees to operate and maintain our large-scale, high-performance power plants.

We are looking for candidates with a very strong interest in excelling in technics and engineering. These can be graduates who already have the right basic diploma, but also people whom we help to achieve the right level through a technical training package. Demonstrating that you have the right skills for a technical job in a complex environment is decisive, reaching the desired level is something we do together.

Room for development and lifelong learning

Engineering, safety, environment, project management, finance, data management, languages, ... at ENGIE we stress the importance of career development. You can broaden and deepen your knowledge across many disciplines. We stimulate this with our career development team that has monthly meetings with many of our employees to make sure they are achieving their development goals, as well as specific days such as the Career Advisory Days at Laborelec where you can learn about new positions and how you can grow within the company. You can also work on your soft skills through the training courses such as 'dealing with stress', 'increasing your resilience', 'communicating with impact', etc...

Career opportunities & promotion

Every year, HR and line management discuss the career prospects, development ambitions and growth potential of all employees. Each employee is also given the opportunity to discuss their career and development ambitions themselves. ENGIE also encourages internal mobility within the Group.

Work security

ENGIE masters all professions in the energy sector: from energy production to maintenance of complex installations, from engineering to building new installations, from research and innovation to optimising everyone's energy consumption. Our activities are therefore very diverse and are also offered all over the world. In this context, we can offer job security to our employees. That does not necessarily mean the same thing as performing exactly the same tasks for years. ENGIE is therefore looking for new employees with a flexible attitude who are willing to continuously learn and acquire new skills.

Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion

DEI is a core value at ENGIE, which we integrate into all our activities.

D - Diversity : The different traits and characteristics that make people unique, such as gender and age, as well as less visible aspects such as communication styles and interests.
E - Equality : Giving everyone equal opportunities by providing customization and support.
I - Inclusion : A (work) place where everyone feels welcome and can be themselves, regardless of personal characteristics.

In 2022, ENGIE launched the Be.U@ENGIE program to promote these three values. This program focuses on five areas: LGBTQ+, Gender, Origins, Generations and Abilities. Our goal is for every employee to feel valued and welcome so that they can be the best they can be. Katrien Goossens, DEI Manager at ENGIE Belgium: "At ENGIE, we not only want to be a leader in the energy transition, but also an inclusive employer. Are we already there? No, not yet. It is a growth process that we are working on together, because we believe this is the key to sustainable success."
