Help power the energy of today and tomorrow

Why engineers choose ENGIE

Engineering is about more than technology alone. It is also about collaboration, trust and developing new ideas.

Work on projects that accelerate the energy transition

From offshore and onshore wind to battery storage and industrial decarbonisation. You contribute to innovative projects that truly shape the energy transition in Belgium.

Technical challenges

At ENGIE, you work on advanced, complex energy installations. You also collaborate with colleagues who have years of experience. In short: an environment where you keep learning.

"Technology is not just for men. It is for anyone who is curious and wants to make an impact."

A day in the life of an engineer at ENGIE

Gill, Project Engineer

07.30 Heading to a site

I leave in my company car for ENGIE’s battery park in Vilvoorde.

9.00 Making technical decisions together

During a project meeting, I discuss the next steps with colleagues from different disciplines. Everyone brings their own expertise to the table.

10.30 Putting theory into practice

Time to visit the site. This lets you immediately see how designs and calculations translate into reality.

12.00 Lunch break

A moment to recharge in the company cafeteria with colleagues. Every day, you can count on free soup, coffee, water and tea.

13.00 Meeting with Thijs

I align on technical choices, look for solutions and keep my project on track.

15.00 Continuous learning

I discuss my learning and development opportunities for 2027 with my manager.

16.30 Tomorrow starts today

I plan my next working day and wrap up the day in Vilvoorde. At home, I check a few emails and finish a presentation.
