De 2 windturbines bevinden zich op het industrieterrein ten zuiden van het Kanaal Bossuit-Kortrijk en de E17 autosnelweg op het grondgebied van gemeentes Harelbeke en Zwevegem. Deze turbines vormen een uitbreiding van een aantal reeds bestaande turbines die samen een cluster vormen.

Nog geen uitspraak van raad voor vergunningsbetwistingen omtrent het beroep. Dit wordt verwacht in de loop van 2024
 

Beroep tegen vergunning

Er wordt beroep aangetekend tegen deze vergunning. Een uitspraak wordt verwacht eind 2023.

Minister verleent nieuwe vergunning

De minister verleent opnieuw een vergunning voor de bouw van 2 bijkomende windturbines te Harelbeke en Zwevegem op de terreinen van Bekaert en Devamix. 

Vergunning verworpen

01/09/2022

De vergunning, verleend door de minister in 2018 en die nadien werd aangevochten is verworpen. Concreet betekent dit dat er op dit moment geen vergunning meer is en de minister een nieuwe uitspraak moet doen in dit dossier.

Begin 2022 is er nog steeds geen uitspraak in de beroepsprocedure die aangespannen werd tegen deze beslissing. We verwachten de uitspraak nu tegen de zomer van 2022.

Status van het project

23/09/2020
ENGIE verkreeg in 2018 de vergunning voor de windturbine. Deze beslissing werd door de Vlaamse Overheid bevestigd. Er werd beroep ingediend tegen deze beslissing. Een uitspraak wordt verwacht tegen eind 2020.

Borealis Transforms Company Parking Lots into Solar Farms in Collaboration with ENGIE

Vienna, Austria / Beringen and Kallo, Belgium – Starting this month, Borealis deploys solar canopies with a total capacity of 3.3 MWp on the parking lots of its Belgian manufacturing sites in Kallo and Beringen. Equipped with nearly 4,800 bifacial solar panels, the canopies are expected to generate 3,250 MWh of renewable energy per year, saving 550 tons of CO2 emissions per year. The solar canopies were installed by ENGIE Sun4Business, the subsidiary of energy utility ENGIE that offers solar power as a service to businesses in Belgium and the Netherlands.
