Vergunning toegekend

28/08/2025

Minister Jo Brouns verleende op 28/08/2025 een vergunning voor dit windturbineproject. Tegen de vergunningsbeslissing werd beroep aangetekend. Een uitspraak in dit dossier wordt verwacht in het najaar van 2026.
 

Openbaar onderzoek windturbineproject

22/02/2024

Op 16/02/2024 werd een wijziging doorgevoerd aan het windturbine dossier in Hamont-Achel. Dit gewijzigde dossier kan ingekeken worden tijdens het openbaar onderzoek dit zal lopen van 01/03/2024 tot 30/03/2024. De documenten kan u raadplegen in het stadhuis of op het omgevingsloket - https://omgevingsloketinzage.omgeving.vlaanderen.be/?openbaaronderzoek

De vergunningsaanvraag voor de 3 windturbines te Hamont-achel is ingediend. Een infossie zal nog volgen waar u meer toelichting krijgt over het project, de datum van de sessie zal u meegdeeld worden op deze website als ook per post.

Borealis Transforms Company Parking Lots into Solar Farms in Collaboration with ENGIE

Vienna, Austria / Beringen and Kallo, Belgium – Starting this month, Borealis deploys solar canopies with a total capacity of 3.3 MWp on the parking lots of its Belgian manufacturing sites in Kallo and Beringen. Equipped with nearly 4,800 bifacial solar panels, the canopies are expected to generate 3,250 MWh of renewable energy per year, saving 550 tons of CO2 emissions per year. The solar canopies were installed by ENGIE Sun4Business, the subsidiary of energy utility ENGIE that offers solar power as a service to businesses in Belgium and the Netherlands.
