ENGIE operates a local, diversified and flexible generation portfolio, with a carbon intensity of its electricity production that is more than twice as low as the European average.
Today, ENGIE is also an innovative producer of green electricity in Belgium with an installed capacity of 676 MW. The electricity is produced in Belgium, close to the end customer, on ±85 sites and thanks to some 200 very small or much larger production units. This diversification allows us to make the most of the complementary nature of the technologies, to maximise their strengths and minimise their weaknesses in order to guarantee a continuous supply of electricity to our customers, whatever the circumstances.
