H2BE

With H2BE, ENGIE and Norwegian energy group Equinor aim to develop low-carbon hydrogen production from natural gas in Belgium.

The two companies have decided to jointly explore the market potential for large-scale production of hydrogen from natural gas using autothermal reforming (ATR) technology combined with carbon capture and storage (CCS).

Thanks to the ATR technology, carbon capture of more than 95% can be obtained and it is possible to produce hydrogen on a large scale at a competitive cost.
