Nieuwe centrale van ENGIE in Flémalle klaar om het net te ondersteunen
De nieuwe stoom- en gascentrale van ENGIE in Flémalle is sinds 31 oktober 2025 beschikbaar om bij te dragen tot de Belgische bevoorradingszekerheid. Na het doorlopen van de testfase is de centrale nu klaar om 875 MW flexibele capaciteit te leveren aan het net. Ze vormt een onmisbare aanvulling op hernieuwbare energie en zal een belangrijke bijdrage leveren aan de bevoorradingszekerheid van elektriciteit van ons land.

ENGIE breidt aanbod van ‘super-daluren’ uit naar Brussel en Wallonië
Vanaf 1 oktober biedt ENGIE zijn Empower Flextime-contract ook aan in het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest en Wallonië. Dit innovatieve contract, dat al beschikbaar was in Vlaanderen, stelt huishoudens met een hoog energieverbruik in staat om hun factuur te verlagen door een deel van hun elektriciteitsverbruik te verplaatsen naar de ‘super-daluren’ van de dag.

BESIX Infra, ENGIE en Wind4Flanders huldigen hoogste windturbine van Limburg in in Bilzen
De hoogste windturbine in Limburg staat sinds kort te draaien op de site van BESIX Infra in Bilzen. De turbine met een indrukwekkende tiphoogte van 234 meter werd vanmiddag officieel ingehuldigd door Vlaams minister van Energie Zuhal Demir. Dat gebeurde in aanwezigheid van BESIX en zijn filiaal BESIX Infra, projectontwikkelaar ENGIE, het publiek-private partnerschap Wind4Flanders en het gemeentebestuur van Bilzen.

Umicore signs renewable electricity PPAs with ENGIE and Axpo to power two of its largest sites worldwide
Umicore has signed two separate long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs), with ENGIE and Axpo to source renewable electricity from offshore and onshore wind turbines in Belgium. These agreements will cover more than half of the electricity demand from Umicore’s Belgian sites and help the Group achieve its objective to be carbon neutral by 2035.
