Our ambition towards 2045
The energy transition requires a profound transformation of our energy system. As a major player in Belgium’s energy sector, ENGIE aims to play an active role in this transformation.
Through our #ENERGIZE2030 strategy, we invest in the further development of renewable electricity, strengthen the flexibility of the energy system, and promote a more efficient use of energy.
At the same time, we are pursuing our ambition to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045 at the latest. To this end, we are taking concrete steps today to further reduce emissions from our operations and value chain, while continuing to contribute to a reliable and affordable energy supply.
Together with our employees, partners and stakeholders, we are helping to advance the energy transition in Belgium.

My colleagues and I develop and construct onshore wind farms.
After graduation I really wanted to work in the renewable energy sector. It's very interesting, but also very topical as wind power plays a pivotal role in the energy transition.
The energy transition requires concrete action. That is why, through its #ENERGIZE2030 strategy, ENGIE invests in renewable electricity and flexible capacity while pursuing its ambition to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045 at the latest.
